Autonomous AI-assisted cyber investigation platform
Command Zero develops an AI-assisted cyber investigations platform built to solve one of security operations’ most persistent challenges: the “last mile” of incident response, where human analysts must assess and resolve complex escalated cases.
Command Zero emerged from stealth in July 2024 with $21 million in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Insight Partners and 60+ cyber industry thought leaders and executives. The company raised an additional $10 million one year later in July 2025; that strategic investment came from Okta Ventures, SE Ventures, and Crosspoint Capital.
Command Zero was founded by serial entrepreneurs Dov Yoran and Dean De Beer (both co-founders of ThreatGRID), and Alfred Huger (co-founder of Immunet). Together, the trio have led seven successful cybersecurity acquisitions to companies like Symantec, McAfee, Sourcefire, Cisco, and IBM.
Key capabilities include cross-domain visibility for identity-centric and email-centric investigations (e.g., business email compromise), automated anomaly detection with customizable search parameters, and dynamic threat hunting to identify hidden patterns. The platform integrates analytical templates and structured workflows that minimize dependency on scarce senior personnel while preserving investigative rigor.
