Agentic Design-Stage Security for Software Development

Prime Security is a startup that embeds AI-powered security earlier in the software lifecycle, shifting focus from reactive code-time fixes to design-stage product security. The platform scans engineering plans and design documents (before a single line of code is written) to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security and compliance risks.

In October 2024, Prime Security scored $6 million in a seed round led by Foundation Capital with participation from Flybridge Capital Partners and other angel investors. Just over one year later in October 2025, Prime Security announced a $20 million Series A led by Scale Venture Partners. Participants include previous investors like Foundation Capital and Flybridge Ventures, as well as Ofir Ehrlich, founder and CEO of Eon.

Prime Security won the top honor at Black Hat USA 2025’s Startup Spotlight Competition, a strong endorsement from the cybersecurity community. Prime Security enables organizations to scale development velocity while reducing security debt and shrinking costly late-stage remediations.
